Review on Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB SSD? NVMe M.2 SSD by Adam Bronisz ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Full compliance with the manufacturers assurances, high quality.

This is not Samsung's first solid-state drive (SSD). In addition, I own many NVME SSDs from this manufacturer, both from the Evo and the Pro series of products. In addition, the expertise of using a variety of office computers for business purposes (albeit not necessarily this type). They have nothing to worry about, and things are going swimmingly with them. Regarding the performance, the following is the outcome of a linear read and write test performed on Linux using one thread and a block size of one megabyte: [sergey@workstation ~]$ dd if=/dev/zero of=./test.img bs=1M count=10240 oflag=direct 10240+0 entries received 10240+0 records sent 10737418240 bytes (11 GB, 10 GiB) copied, 3.72489 seconds, 2.9 GB/s 10737418240 bytes (11 GB, 10 GiB) copied [sergey@workstation ~]The command is $ echo 3 followed by sudo tee /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches 3. [sergey@workstation ~]$ dd if=. /test. Img of=/dev/null bs=1M iflag=direct 10240+0 entries received 10240+0 records sent 10737418240 bytes (11 GB, 10 GiB) copied, 3.54131 seconds, 3.0 GB/s 10240+0 records received 10240+0 records sent 10240+0 entries received 10240+0 records sent While recording at 2.9 GB/s, reading at 3.0 GB/s. It takes up somewhere around one third of the storage space on the SSD.

Pros
  • Exceptional velocities, dependability, and foreseeability.
Cons
  • Price, however I am unable to claim that it is significantly more expensive than other options. To be more precise, slightly above the norm.

I put only Samsung SSDs in my equipment, despite the fact that there are faster and cheaper options.
