Bought for our family room to not turn on the air conditioner often. Our family room is about 500 square meters. ft. This one copes with it without any problems. However, I'm not sure about the difference in cost, but based on the fact that our house is about 2500 square feet, I would say that it's easier to heat or cool 500 square feet than 2500 square feet. I've tried multiple times to easily turn the device on and off with Alexa. and I also tried to regulate the temperature by voice command. It works and it's simple but to be honest it's only 5-6 meters away from me at the TV how lazy do you have to be not to go to the AC and just use ALexa. But it works very well and smoothly. The mobile application, in my opinion, is much more important and functional than Alexa. It is very similar to a remote control for a smartphone and allows you to control the air conditioner. I really like the idea of turning it on before we get home so the whole family room is warm before we get home. If you forget to turn it off and go upstairs, you don't have to go downstairs to turn it off, you can turn it on and off and set the temperature with your phone. He has an old-school remote which isn't bad, I usually only use the app myself unless I have the remote on the couch next to me. I used both heat and cold since we live in San Diego, it gets hot during the day and a bit cold at night. Both work very well and are reliable. I did not use a dehumidifier and cannot vouch for it. It would be better to know around 12,000 BTUs of cooling when summer comes, but for now the cooling capacity seems good enough. Instead, some of the reviews make too much noise about it. . Mine isn't that bad and to be honest it's not in my bedroom when I use it, the TV is usually on so I can't hear it. In my opinion, that's not bad. But if you plan on using it in the bedroom, test the decibel levels and see if you can handle it. Very easy to install, just connect the exhaust hose to the window. I had to adjust the window a bit, but almost all of these portable air conditioners require window modification. It comes with a washable filter, which is very convenient. Save some money in the long run. The wheels on the bottom are a nice addition and the unit is easy to move around the house. It's easier if you have a stone or wooden floor. The carpet is not so easy because it is very heavy. Overall it's a well built air conditioner and I'm happy with the purchase. I will come back next summer and upgrade it with cooling capacity if it survives this winter lol.
