I bought this adapter for my new 27" Samsung T55 monitor because I wanted to use it on my VIVO monitor stand instead of the factory stand that came with it. When I first tried it To mount it on the back of the monitor I was a little worried that it wouldn't fit because it was quite tight, however with a little effort it immediately stood up, now I understand that it was designed exactly for that, hence deliberately to keep the monitor safe during use.
