The product is really good, Im glad I bought it.

All advantages and disadvantages - in comparison with intex challenger. Both kayaks were taken as a temporary watercraft in the spring in high water, while there was nowhere to put the main boat on the shore. intex challenger was enough for a month of operation - then first the bottom parted along the seam at the stern (it was possible to glue it), then - the upper chamber at the cockpit (gluing helps for a while - the seam continues to diverge). BestBoat has run flawlessly for three weeks so far (used about once every two days). In this case, I use the paddle from intex challenger. On top, I also put a seat from intex with a cut off back. For some time I also went with a keel from intex, but it was poorly fixed (the system of fastenings is different) and was lost in the Volga channels. In general, if you compare the intex challenger and this bestboat, they are very different. This "kayak" is a toy imitation of ordinary inflatable kayaks, where the main buoyancy is provided by the sides, and the bottom simply supports the passenger. The intex challenger has a different concept: there, the inflatable bottom acts as an inflatable board on which the passenger sits, and the second inflatable compartment forms the freeboards. Taking into account the larger keel, it turns out greater propulsion and directional stability (but not by much), a smaller bottom pierce under the passenger, but seaworthiness is worse (already small waves begin to overwhelm the upper deck, on which water quickly accumulates, which needs to be removed from it). On this kayak I went with waves up to half a meter - it easily ascends the waves without overflowing, the short length allows. But if you put an extra seat on this kayak and get used to yaw (it's fast), then the sensations from these two kayaks in calm weather are about the same. Subjectively - you can take a little more things into this deck. As a temporary watercraft for the spring period, both options suit me. But at intex, the welding of the seams failed - let's see how long this one will last .

Pros
  • - Four inflatable compartments (three, except for the side around the cockpit; but the intex challenger has only two); - Good germination on the wave; the deck is not overwhelmed; - Lighter weight (compared to the same challenger; if you have to carry a hundred meters on land, the difference is noticeable)
Cons
  • Compared to challenger by INTEX: - weaker bottom. Bends under the seat by 8-10 centimeters. It is worth putting an extra seat for a comfortable fit, especially if the water is cold; - oars unsuccessful for rowing a kayak. In the kit, the intex chllenger has a much better paddle (although it’s still better to replace it); - a ridiculously small keel, which has almost no effect on directional stability (which is practically non-existent, as a result); - No folded carry bag included.
