Review on 🐱 Cat Mate Locking Cat Flaps: Silent Action, Weather-Proof Polymer, Fully Brush Sealed Flaps with Magnetic Closure by Elisa Suggs

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My poor kittens would have to crawl through the door below.

I bought this cat door to fit in my bedroom door. Outside the door, my poor kitties had to crawl through the bottom slot of the door (4-5 inches) to get into my room when the door was closed, so I knew this would solve that problem. I think you get a good product for the price. My two cats fit. I will add some photos to show the installation process. Advantages: - The cat does not have to crawl through the cracks in the door. - Quick installation if you have all the necessary equipment and a helper. - Once you cut the hole the rest is very easy. Includes a template to trace the hole to get started. Think carefully about where you want everything to be before you start tracing the outline. Don't be stupid like me and use a permanent marker if you're not sure you're going to screw something up. The locks work. they are a little thin but that doesn't bother me. I don't use this feature often, but it's nice to have just in case I'm trying to keep one of the cats away. My burly cat fits. He weighs around 15-18 pounds. Cons: - They come with small plugs to hide the screw holes. The problem is that they fall and are lost forever. With my father's help he was able to carve the hole in just a few minutes but he had the right tools if I were the one carving the hole I would spend hours completing this task. Maybe I had to take the door off its hinges. Worse, I was afraid I would ruin the door. As a person, I don't speak "handily" at all. - There are no other worries.
