The product is designed to replace the stock key shell. It is difficult to remove the transponder from the original key shell and clean it to fit in the space provided for this replacement unit. Then, after several days of testing this new case, it sometimes unintentionally opens when the Camry is started, even after it's firmly closed. The only solution is to seal the shell so the key doesn't fall apart when others use the key and lose small parts of the button. But it's still a much cheaper solution than cutting a new key!
