I have had these bulbs for almost a year now. I was looking for an automatic lighting solution after a series of pretty egregious robberies had taken place in my area. Almost everyone is used to not turning off the light at night. I looked at smart solutions and daylight timers that replace the light switch. All were either overkill to solve the problem or annoying because it was difficult to connect my switch. So I dared. I have two lamps on either side of the front door with bulbous lamps. I was concerned that the sensors would degrade due to their close spacing (3-4ft) and that the glass on the mount was not fully closed (open at the bottom) causing moisture issues. But no, everything worked. Turns on when it's dark, turns off when it's light. Again and again in all seasons in New England. Cold hot. Wet dry. etc etc. Hopefully I can get a few years out of them before I get a replacement. They really just work and I don't have to think about turning them on and off every day.
