I bought this item for the door between the kids camper bedroom and the main area. My daughter has a pug that we always worry about running out the RV door when getting in and out. She's also old enough that we don't want to leave her in a cage in the camper all day when we're out, but we also don't want her and our Golden running around in the camper when we're not there. This allows you to adjust to the width of the camper doorway without damaging the frame and without fear of pinching your fingers etc. It is lightweight to allow air movement. I'll update my review when we start using it to see how it holds up on her razor-like nails.
