Review on MICHLEY LSS 505 Desktop 12 Stitch Machine by Kristen Reid

At first I was a bit skeptical of all the reviews. Some said it didn't work. Some said the coils were a problem. I waited about a month and used it extensively before deciding to review it for accuracy. First, it is very easy to thread the car into the car. Make sure you follow the key threading instructions or the machine will lock up. Correct refueling solves this problem. Second, the machine has a bobbin winder with instructions on how to get it running (again, a must for a sewing doll like me). Everything worked fine for me and I replaced the bobbins with thread, which is what he really wanted. Third, all patterns work on the machine. I tested them all on a piece of fabric because I've noticed that some inexpensive sewing machines tend to advertise more patterns than they actually do (like the Singer Pixie Plus). The car is cute and small. If you're looking for a heavy-duty replacement for your singer/brother, this machine isn't for you. If you want to easily hem and sew lightweight fabrics like cotton, this machine is for you. When replacing spools, look for something similar in size and material. This machine uses metal coils. There are several generic metal coils, the exact same ones are sold at JoAnn's. This worked for me. So far I've hemmed and sewed two 24" x 24" decorative pillowcases and they still work great. I changed the spools without any problems and prepared new spools, threaded them and rethreaded them several times. If your stitches look like loose stitches, check the needle tension dial. To sum it up, I honestly don't understand what the excitement is about this machine as it worked like a dream for me. I recommend for the first sewing machine!
