Wouldn't recommend to beginners, start with something simpler!
The fabric is heavy and does not "wash" when worn. I just finished two 24 18x18 square quilts. I thought I was so fed up with hand embroidery after two years of embroidery that I was pleasantly surprised to find that I embroider these cushion covers with great joy. One is done and I'm about 1/3 done with the second. It has a lot of satin stitches (I make my own stitch there, see pictures), so if you don't like this stitch, better use something else. I'll look for something else I'm sure when I'm done with it.
