Review on Enhance Your Audio Experience with the Yamaha NS-C444 2-Way Center Channel Speaker in Black by Arata Kichiro ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like it, thanks for the quality product.

I have been fond of hi-fi for a long time, so the review I will write quite objectively. This center was compared head-to-head with the Infinity Beta C360 center on the river. yamaha 8 series. The player was a pioneer 450. I was interested in a test with a more expensive and good center in order to understand what is missing in 444. All sound turned on through the centers (the entire band) to fronts, sub and rears did not interfere with detailed listening. The film is selected - "The Counselor" in due quality. And some snippets from it 1) bed scene 2) shootout 3) the scene of a passing motorcycle and the noise of the foliage of trees from the wind 1) The first point - was to reveal the detail of the columns, the range and evenness. We turn on infiniti- We hear a smooth sound, quite clearly we hear a background quiet sound from the window. Realistic rustling of linen. Feels decent a. S. range Turn on the yamaha s444 - it is striking that the frequency response is not even, raised in the middle and a little closer to tops. The voices seem to be pushed forward a lot. a quiet sound from the window - something is heard, but the full picture is not obtained. The sound of bedclothes and rubbing a hand over skin - less realistic than on infiniti, about 70 to 100 otherwise it's not as bad as distant plans! A HUGE minus for c444 is that male voices sometimes mumble (it was noticed on many films)! This will be noticeable enough for people attentive to sound. 2) A fragment designed for dynamics and drive. We listen to infiniti - everything is clear We turn on 444 - and here another big minus of the yamaha appears- it's not the ability to work on the bottom. Instead of bass - knock. The sound of a gunfight in the middle of the movie seemed a little toy . 3) The only moment where 444 was better. The sound of leaves was heard more realistic and clearer. I can only explain this by the fact that Yamaha the middle is pushed forward. From this 95% of the minuses, but in this fragment yamaha was lucky for "favorite sounds" and in the end deservedly +) I would rate her at about 3.7-3.8 points out of 5 (For her money) The column falls short of 4 stars, but had to be rounded

Pros
  • + Realism of medium and high sounds, as a result of involvement in view - if you close your eyes to the cons. + Not bad power, but pounding bass spoils the impression + A hint of musicality
Cons
  • - At a certain frequency of the male voice there is a "mumbling", this is NOT acceptable - Frequency response brings voices and mids to the fore, sinking detail and second plans. - Bass dynamics, stage - The tops are a bit harsh to the ear
