
I was looking for an inexpensive way to knead large portions of bread dough. Dough for bread with a moisture content of 40-50%. I have a famous brand semi-professional home/commercial blender with a dough hook that I paid about $800 for, but I've had trouble blending even one batch without feeling like the gears/ engine is overloaded. I had to make 30 large hamburger buns, each weighing about 137g. All the ingredients are like 15 cups of flour in a yeast dough. My Wondermix didn't even flinch. He just did his thing and mixed it all up in about 5-6 minutes. No whining, no movement, no bouncing - just calm and stable. There are some long term problems with the plastic parts but the biggest problem is the final drive linkage and they gave me an extra one. I suppose there's a reason, but the fact that they included it is impressive. Based on the reviews and docs I've come across, it looks like a pretty reputable kitchen tool with solid company backing and a pretty reasonable price compared to my KitchenAid Professional (oops). Sure it's not as sexy as my KitchenAid, but I'm super excited. It's fairly light, has a lot to offer, takes up little space on the counter, and isn't too heavy to move and take off the counter when you're not using it. Plus, everything washed away so easily. The first tests were outrageous. Time will tell but I am very happy with this purchase.
