Too hard to stay connected

It's all so hard it doesn't stay connected. I wish it was a 3 pin connector because there would be more to hold it. It was plugged into an outlet on a United flight and had to be propped up with a book. I tried bending the pins a bit to make them fit snugly in the sockets, but that didn't help much.
