Update: 11/03/20 Latch broken. My puppy now weighs 11 pounds. She pulled the latch so hard to get out of the stretcher that she broke it. Now I have no way of holding it in a stretcher. The returns window is closed so now I'm stuck with a product I can't use. Get something better! Overall assembly in the car was very easy. Perfect size for a puppy or small dog. Can be used as a tote bag, closes with a zip at the top. Very handy when traveling or on the go. There is padding on the bottom that can be removed for washing. I added an old towel just in case. My only complaint is that the latch used to attach the collar to my pup is very difficult to push against the metal and snap into place. Of course, the worst thing is that the puppy won't sit still because of all the excitement. After you make an effort to click, the harness won't stay in place and the pup may jump halfway out of the carrier! I don't know how to fix it because the belt cannot be replaced. I will keep using it until I find a way to fix it. Can't beat the price.
