Review on πŸ’§ Aquagear Water Filter Pitcher – Superior Protection from Lead, Chlorine, PFOA/PFOS, and Microplastics, Crystal Clear by Tyler Bonnell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Stay away from that jug filter. Don't rely on reviews.

Simply put, there are too many competitors that meet similar NSF and/or SGS standards and don't have slow filtering issues. The quality of the filters differs significantly from the originals. The originals in the photos have mesh at the bottom and air holes at the top I believe. This is not the case with the new filters. New filters don't last as long as originals. Aquagear relies on paid reviews and old reviews to sell its product. DO NOT ENTER THIS! I sent a few questions to their support team for this issue and all they did was apologize and sent me a new filter which was still one of the newer (worst) models. They completely ignored my questions and I still haven't received an answer. For some people, 1 new filter might make them change their rating, but good customer service and PR doesn't equate to a good product. Both filters I received slowed down significantly in just 2 weeks - after only about 9 gallons had been filtered. Flushing the filter with their kit doesn't work as well as they claim. The dishwasher is not "flush" with the filter and water will flow from the top no matter how low the pressure on your faucet. Both filters empty the upper reservoir in about 36 hours. Using this filter pitcher has literally reduced my daily water intake (80 ounces) (coffee and water) to 40 ounces. This isn't an issue we need to concern ourselves with, especially at the price Aquagear has set for its filters. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. Aquagear in its current state is not worth your time or money.
