I bought these to use in a 4 foot retractable ball pit for my 6 month old and they were perfect for that use. 400 balls will fill about 1/3 of the hole, so if you want deeper you'll need to order more. They give a little when squeezed or shrunk, but so far we haven't had any issues with them snapping and they spring back into shape. I kept the mesh bag they came in to store the balls again and run them in the washing machine; I only use a cold water cycle and let them air dry (dries very quickly) and they hold up great! For the price and quantity it was a great purchase and I would buy again.
