The case photo provided by the manufacturer does NOT contain a plastic lip on the bottom of the case covering the bottom corners of the laptop (the corners closest to the hinge). In fact, their picture shows that the case doesn't reach the back bottom corners of the laptop. However, as with several other reviewers here, the product I received had a small plastic lip covering the corners of my laptop. At first I didn't even want to return it because the lip looks small and doesn't seem to touch the screen when I open the laptop. However, I noticed a slight tension when trying to open the screen more than 90 degrees. I'm concerned that this will loosen my laptop's hinge over time - a known problem with hard cases on MacBooks that I was hoping to avoid when I saw the image on the product page didn't have this feature. My old case was a Fintie PU leather case which I really liked, but it ripped and came off, was a bit heavy and caused my screen to close when my screen was opened at an angle of less than 30 degrees became. This was a great case, although this case also had plastic on the lower back corners, the plastic didn't reach that problem area. I give 2 stars because the case came with no damage or scratches. It would probably be a good case if it wasn't for that unexpected piece of plastic. back as soon as possible.
