When I took this out of the bag it was completely covered in oil and as other reviews mentioned oil leaks I should have sent it back straight away but I thought they fixed the oil leaks after a year. !I spent a lot of time cleaning all the oil before filling it with oil. Since it looked like it was about to leak, I only filled it up to the minimum line to test! Since it didn't look like it would leak right after filling it, I turned it on and let it run while pulling out a stack of oil-soaked paper towels. in the trash. When I came back a few minutes later I found a puddle of oil around the pump seeping into the cracks in our wooden floor! The reviews saying it was blocked is probably because it was on the ground and they didn't realize all the oil had spilled out. out! Mine dropped below the minimum line in minutes! I only bought this because my 15 year old USA made pump wasn't drawing vacuum and I figured it was time for a new one! But since a new pump from China doesn't hold the oil long enough for a job. I disassembled my old pump and found metal filings between the vanes due to a compressor failure preventing the vanes from deploying and chamber sealing. Once this was removed from my old pump and the vanes were free to slide, it drew a full vacuum and hasn't lost a drop of oil in 15 years!
