) My only disappointment is that they have stopped selling the navy blue mat

Every caregiver with Alzheimer's or Dementia should have at least one of these mats. I have four. I have one on the patient's bed, one on his chair and two in reserve. I haven't found anything that offers anywhere near the same level of protection for a bed or furniture as these rugs. I have one of the small paper pads on the peapod rug on his bed, but that's only because it helps keep the rug clean. (They take a long time to wash and dry.) My only disappointment is that they stopped selling navy blue because it matches our chair so it doesn't even stand out in our living room.
