I ordered them more out of curiosity than anything else because they were advertised as ABEC-9 which is the highest ABEC rating which means tighter tolerances, higher accuracy, efficiency and speed. I don't have the ability to test most things, but I can get a general idea with my Mitutoyo digital calipers. An ABEC-1 bearing can only deflect within 0.005", while an ABEC-7 bearing must deflect within 0.001". These bearings, like all Chinese bearings I've ever tested, didn't even pass ABEC-1 standards. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. So the price for them matched what I got. The cheapest ABEC-7 bearings of this size that I can buy from a reliable bearing supplier is $42 each. ABEC-9 bearings typically cost hundreds. Also, these bearings have a good finish, are properly lubricated (I only opened one up to check) and run very smoothly. I wouldn't put it in an electric motor or gearbox, which are hard to disassemble, but I bet they'll work just fine on a skateboard.
