There’s a little spoon thingy inside on the "drain side”. It can be used to measure oil drops, but if left inside while draining, it sort of pushes the water away from the unit and avoids excess spills.I didn’t time it exactly, but it had to have been running for nearly 24 hours. And it goes until almost all the water is empty. Not like the others that leave a ton of water sitting inside that could have been diffused. This is definitely worth the funds.Oh…and although the cord isn’t completely on the side of the unit, the side bottom location is still better than having it located completely on the underside of the unit.Great purchase…I’m pleased…I recommend!
