It didn't work out of the package

When switched on it reads -58.0F and stays that way. Measured a roast straight out of the oven at -23.0F. Clearly a defective device. Awaiting a response from Escali Customer Service. Updated my rating from one star to 5 Satars: Escali replaced my broken unit with no issues. Excellent customer service and the thermometer works great. Fast and accurate, easy to clean.
