This is the first sewing machine I bought. My previous car was gifted to me almost fourteen years ago. It was Singer Esteem and he disappointed me immensely. I have an Etsy shop and use my sewing machine every day. When my singer started destroying the kitchen towels I made, that was me. I started looking at what kind of machine I needed. Due to the thick cotton I sew every day, I was advised to look out for a powerful machine. I also wanted something that wouldn't force me to use my Singer to fix a stuck coil multiple times a day. The first car I kept coming back to was the mechanical Brother Strong and Tough. A Few Dollars More I came across a computerized version of the Brother Strong and Tough machine. Setting up the car wasn't difficult at all. In fact, I was completely blown away by every new feature I came across. The only thing I don't understand is the automatic needle threader. Either I'm using it wrong or it doesn't work properly. Anyway, I'm not worried. I just thread the needle myself. After everything was set up and neatly stowed away, I drove through with my first towel. I was blown away by how smoothly this machine runs, how quiet it is (I can run the machine in my office with the door open and not disturb my husband who also works at home!) and how easy it is to use. You can use this machine without attaching a pedal! Plus, NO stuck spool! My life has become so much easier. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced seamstress, you will not be disappointed with this machine. This car is worth its price. Honestly, I'm surprised it doesn't cost more!
