They bend to open and close and are so fragile that if you bend them wrong they will deteriorate and you can still only use them once (unless you ruin them when you bend them open the first time) since the material then breaks it is bent too much. My nail left a dent on the first one I tried so I didn't even use it. I'm just shocked at the cheap stuff.
