Review on Acer KG271 Bmiix FREESYNC 1920X1080P πŸ–₯️ Monitor with 75Hz Refresh Rate and Tilt Adjustment by Monty Haile

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great picture after some tweaking, but terrible speakers

I bought this as an upgrade from an old 22" Dell monitor. Installing the stand was easy and included a power cord, HDMI cable, and VGA+Audio cables. I like the matte finish on the screen to reduce glare and it looks really good overall. After connecting with the included HDMI cable, the picture wasn't the best. Colors were washed out and scrolling through webpages seemed to produce a halo effect. I found out from another review here that it was due to the overdrive feature. After I turned it off, the halos stopped. I also turned off the Black Boost and the color quality seemed to improve. Although the built-in speakers are practically useless. At maximum volume I can hardly hear any sound, and it's very high. Also, be careful when changing settings as some of them (like the blue light filter) are happy to turn the overdrive back on without telling you. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. I have a really good monitor. without spending a fortune.
