The metal threaded sleeve on the plug that screws into the retainer socket was not crimped properly but simply twisted and not screwed into the socket was able to crimp over enough to hold and screw into the socket - no quality control can be viewed from the manufacturer's website. The ball joints have no holding power and just slam under the weight of the bulb - held it in place by wrapping tape around the base of the socket - not worth my time and money - and I still expect it to fail soon due to the poor quality element , will just throw it in the trash if it fails.
