I expected more from this phone!

We bought this set 2.5 years ago. We were hoping to last more than a few years. The volume seemed a bit strange and it was often difficult to understand the other party on long-distance calls. The batteries worked fine for several months and then began to discharge fairly quickly. At 2 years and 2 months we were getting very little money on set. We struggled with this for months and then finally gave up and bought another set. Cons (aside from battery issues): Buttons aren't as easy to press as some cordless phones. We had trouble listening to phone messages without having to listen to all of the previously recorded messages (they didn't skip the old ones). It would be much better if there was an icon on the screen showing how much charge is left in the battery (this is a very important feature!). Phones don't fit in bases; Our new AT&T phones that we just bought fit a lot easier. We didn't use caller ID (it's not available in our region), so we can't comment on that. We didn't try the call waiting feature or use phones with a headset. However, it looks like the set has a decent range. And the mute function worked well. We have not tried the CID or DIR functions. Another thing I REALLY missed from what our previous cordless phones had was the phone's ability to automatically answer a call when the phone rang and was picked up from the base. This set requires you to lift the phone from the base and then press the power button to turn on the phone and answer the call. Too bad. HOWEVER the set is still so much better than the huge radio we got as a near zero range wedding present 21 years ago!

Pros
  • Keeping my Fists
Cons
  • Hard to say
