Review on Spec Ops Removable Military Grade Composite by Dave Mosby

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Made in the USA

This tool case costs approximately 30% more than comparable molded plastic tool cases. Is it worth the difference? May be. It depends on how you prioritize those differences. First, and first for many people, this box is made in the USA. That alone is enough for many people. Second, the building construction is good. Although this is not the case with Doskocil or Pelican, attention has been paid to the details. The hinge runs the full length of the body and is unlikely to fail. The latch is larger than average and feels solid. The case is advertised as being impregnated with an anti-corrosion agent. Finally, the company donates 3% to veterans' needs. That might not sound like much (and we don't know if that's from gross or net sales), but it's more than nothing veterans get from a typical molded toolbox from China.

Pros
  • Padlock loop and integrated latch for added security
Cons
  • Disappear
