That's a really cool idea, but not very well made plastic. For me it was a complete waste of time and money. I had to struggle to keep the hose in place when I figured out how to tape it in place so it doesn't break when you slide the dryer back. The plastic is so thin that it doesn't survive a single cycle. Was a total loss for what I paid for it. I think this has a lot of potential if it were metal or more durable plastic. Don't take risks like me. If the time you spent writing this deters a person from purchasing this product, I would appreciate it. If it stops almost everyone, the manufacturer can take notice, make it stronger and redesign it.
