Check and ensure

It seems very easy and able to do everything in 1-2-3 steps. That's what I thought when I bought it after seeing a video of it. But that wasn't the story for me. After connecting the hose to the end and then connecting the end to the dehumidifier, it all went the other way around! A plastic sealant like sealant or whatever the proper term for it didn't work at all. After running the dryer for about an hour, I hear a weasel-like noise and air begins to bleed. I had to take it off and go to theโ€ฆ

The dryer works again!

AHHHHMAZING. It worked perfectly. I am a single 62 year old single woman. I bought a house a few months ago and am renovating things I can do myself. The dryer took a long time to dry the laundry. I ordered a new flexible aluminum hose and a new nozzle. It took 1/2 hour to finish. The dryer works like a charm! It turned out that the old plastic hose was clogged with cat hair (previous owner had 3 cats) and had holes in it. Spent a total of $30 and made a big difference. This mount was simpleโ€ฆ

Great idea, bad execution.

I don't usually leave negative feedback, but in this case it's necessary. That's a great idea, but just doesn't work, at least for me. I'm not new to this business. As others have said, it only works in certain ideal situations. I installed it with a gasket but it's not a secure connection and will fall off. If you must use aluminum tape, which is the point, you can also use it on the hose itself. I've had better luck with the straight connector, the corner connector requires you to press itโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Little things

That's a really cool idea, but not very well made plastic. For me it was a complete waste of time and money. I had to struggle to keep the hose in place when I figured out how to tape it in place so it doesn't break when you slide the dryer back. The plastic is so thin that it doesn't survive a single cycle. Was a total loss for what I paid for it. I think this has a lot of potential if it were metal or more durable plastic. Don't take risks like me. If the time you spent writing this deters aโ€ฆ

Friction fit slips off - not suitable for all dryers

I liked the design for this on the website and with it installed now the 'fingers' seem like a good idea to keep the hose in place . There are a couple of issues though: 1) I have a new GE Energy Start dryer that works fine, but the friction fit side of the duct doesn't slide perfectly into the dryer and falls off with little effort. I put a 2x4 behind it to hold it up and I'm just hoping the dryer doesn't move, bump or fall too much. I suppose if it gets worse I'll have to glue it in place but

The knee does not stay on the dryer or on the socket.

I ended up throwing away the elbow pads. The knee does not stay on the dryer or on the socket. What worked - and it worked fantastic! - so this is a clamp that has been attached to a flexible hose. There are fingers that go into the hose and grab it. Then you have a strong collar to attach things to. I put a rubber band around the dryer outlet and wall outlet and then put this collar/hose on. He stayed in place very well. If you want to detach it, you can, but it fits really tight so you don'tโ€ฆ

In my opinion it can only be used with the Flex Dryer ventilation hose

I used the dehumidifier's semi-rigid vent hose instead of the more flexible aluminum foil/vinyl duct. This is because the semi-rigid type is all-metal and more fireproof. Snap to vent 90 is a good concept. But it has some problems - it doesn't work well with all-metal semi-rigid ducts. First, it is very difficult to insert the semi-rigid member into the snap collar, and then it is very difficult to get the snap collar with attached channel to snap into the 90 degree "L". Second, since it'sโ€ฆ
