Review on Ziggurat Dryer Duct Connector STV-90V2, Snap 🔌 to Vent 90 Degree Elbow for Laundry Dryers by Oscar Chambers

In my opinion it can only be used with the Flex Dryer ventilation hose

I used the dehumidifier's semi-rigid vent hose instead of the more flexible aluminum foil/vinyl duct. This is because the semi-rigid type is all-metal and more fireproof. Snap to vent 90 is a good concept. But it has some problems - it doesn't work well with all-metal semi-rigid ducts. First, it is very difficult to insert the semi-rigid member into the snap collar, and then it is very difficult to get the snap collar with attached channel to snap into the 90 degree "L". Second, since it's semi-rigid, if you push the dryer back it tends to lose the 90 degree "L" from the dryer. And finally, the 90 degree "L" really relies on being pressed against the wall (the baseboard in my case) to keep it on the dryer. I think this leads to stains on the baseboard or the wall. In my opinion, the correspondence between the dryer and the letter "L" is "doubtful". And the vinyl friction bushing that holds the dryer's outlet fitting didn't seem to fit the inside of the "L" quite perfectly, so in most cases when the "L" was inserted into the dryer, the vinyl friction bushing would shift and not stop. Pros: Good concept, pressing on the L-shaped vent end of the dryer. Cons: Do not use this with metal semi-rigid ducts. In this case, due to the rigid semi-rigid duct, this creates as many problems as it solves. I would return it unused if I knew what I learned installing it. If you are using all-metal semi-rigid tubing for fire safety reasons, get 90 degree L metal tubing instead.
