Review on Camerons Coffee Roasted Flavored Southern by Robert Johnson

Chocolate Cherry: Smells like cheap cough syrup, tastes incredibly bitter

I tried to write a review without being harsh but it doesn't work. I just can not. This coffee was such a disappointment and so so awful. Opening the package: As soon as the package is opened, the overwhelming smell of cheap cough syrup fills the room, including a cool, pleasant scent of cherries. No hint of chocolate anywhere. Compare that to Door County Chocolate Cherry Coffee, which smells just like a box of chocolate cherries when you open it. I thought Cameron might be a nice scent to brew, but no. Odor: Cooked was worse, if anything. The hint of soft cherry flavor is completely gone. The remnants of the smell were overcooked cheap coffee and cough syrup. Still no chocolate notes. Just a strong cough syrup. However, I didn't give up hope and kept going. Taste: First, the basic taste of the coffee is bad. Bad bad. "I've got better coffee than this for $3 a bag." Tastes like overcooked, burnt coffee. The taste of "chocolate cherry" is even worse. There is no taste, only endless, indifferent, incomprehensible bitterness. Have you ever accidentally tried perfume or cologne? It was like this. On the verge of alcoholism with an unspeakable bitterness that you never want to taste again. Basically, it's like someone poured a bottle of cheap cherry perfume into a cup of coffee brewed from burnt coffee sludge. I've had a few bad cups of coffee in my time, but gave up after five sips.
