Hard to rate something like this 5 stars. I hope you read this and understand. This is not what provides pain relief. . I have an L4 compression swivel and also do flooring. (Not a good combination) and some extra back support would probably be the smartest thing for me. The price for this was great and it was worth trying. What it does is sit on your body in a slightly awkward position and pull on your shoulders to help you maintain better posture. This is not a dramatic effect. can be adjusted a bit. When you bend forward, the elastic pieces pull your shoulders back in a way, giving your lower back a little more support. For being as practical as you'd hope. This is a great product and if you are looking for something similar I would definitely recommend it. But be that as it may, it won't be the most comfortable thing no matter what you do. It's not bad, although it fits well. UPDATE: This works well for shoulder and upper back posture, but I mistakenly thought it would help with lower back. The elevator is smaller than it looks. I thought the bottom part was for your waist but it sits higher. It was my fault for assuming it would help with lower back issues, but it doesn't help.
