Unlike my older units, you have to unscrew it from the wall plate to change the battery. Too bad the 9 volt backup battery needs to be accessible from the front of the unit. Otherwise, you'll be twisting electrical wires every time you need to change the battery (of course it will beep every 60 seconds when the battery is low to remind you!) Okay, you can find a circuit breaker in your house... to be safer to be. Nevertheless, you twist electrical cables every time and have to hope that the nuts don't come loose. This thing definitely poses a circuit breaker tripping hazard!
