These trolleys are made of thick sheet metal and have steel wheels on rollers with ball bearings. They are far superior to the less powerful versions with rubber wheels and thinner plates. I had no problem moving the van around my shop with these carts. I imagine these carts would be useless if the base is rock or mud, they need a firm surface to roll on, they get stuck in loose or soil, rocks etc. My complaint about them relates to the equipment supplied. One of the acorn lids fell off the box. If that weren't a problem for me personally, the end of the roller bolt would remain exposed, so some method must be used to permanently protect the bolt threads from rusting. To me, this meant the manufacturer's device selection was poor.
