Disappointment or importance of screws

I wanted to love this product and for a while I did! I went to work right after receiving it and cooked perfect steaks, chicken, fish, anything you can think of. However, after about a week or two of use, the Yedi started making that awful grinding noise. I tried repositioning and it helped a little, but it just kept coming back in the end. I did some research and it turned out that this is also a problem that sometimes occurs with sous vide anova cookers when the cover comes off and the motor starts banging against it. However, the problem with Yedi is that there is only one screw that secures the cover. housing to the body. So it acts as a pivot and there is no way the cover will sit flush. So if you apply pressure, e.g. B. when the wall of the tank presses against the car, the fairing spins on that screw, moves off center, starts contacting the engine and makes this horrible noise and sometimes gives errors. Now I've just removed the shroud and found a way to prevent the heating element from making contact with the walls of the tank, but I'm concerned that a bag or something might get on the motor and damage it. . Regardless, a disappointing design flaw in a great product. Apparently they say it's okay to touch the bottom of the container (I thought it would block something, but there are other vents as well), so I just put a few bits of cork in there to basically hold the liner in place and Place to bring, and seems to be working well so far. . Until it knocks!
