The rating that they are cheap must have been a fake product. I received them and am very impressed. I have a pin and anvil for setting rivets. I *simply* install brass fasteners and rivets. These bars are definitely stainless steel. I had to press the pin HARD to install the hardware. If I were to complain I would say they are too hard. They're not cheap, but once you install them, they'll last a long time. I am sure. Verdict: Recommended
