I have purchased several Vornado products and have always been satisfied - Pivot is no exception. I think many customers will find it suitable if it suits their use case. This fan has 3.75 inch blades and moves 18 cfm [cfm] low and 44 cfm high. It generates 31 dB. Noise at low speed and 41dB at high speed. For reference, 30dB is considered very quiet, while 40dB is about as whispery. Table. Looks very high quality and is well made for the price. The stand is made from durable metal, while the body is made from very durable plastic, although the glossy finish can attract fingerprints a bit! Looking for something small and stylish with a bit more power I would recommend the Vornado VFAN Mini Modern or the Vornado VFAN Mini Classic depending on your design preference. These fans have larger 4.85 inch blades, allowing them to move significantly more. Air: 75 CFM low and 105 CFM high. It produces 36 dB in the bass and 43 dB in the treble. So with a small increase in size and noise level, you see a significant increase in airflow. Also, these fans have a metal case instead of the plastic spigot. However, when moving from Pivot to the VFAN Mini line, the fan speed is reduced from three to two. If you need more room-cooling performance (but still want something stylish), check out the Vornado VFAN Jr. - 6.2-inch. They are closest to VFAN Jr. and VFAN with better construction and materials. If you are looking for a small, stylish desktop fan with a grille to protect the blades, I think this is the best in its class/price.
