Review on Sunex 6602LP: High-Quality 2 Ton Low Rider Steel Service Jack for Efficient Lifting by Paul Ajayi

Arrived today. Box and jack are in perfect condition. No structural or cosmetic defects. Very heavy but rolls smoothly. Be careful when removing the wire holding the pistons and yoke down for shipping. No hints in the instructions how to safely remove it (I cut it on a grinder with a cut-off wheel, but with a mechanism on the back facing the wall and a full face shield in case they're held with more force than me ) was expected. it wasn't). Clear the process manually and online to remove trapped air. Easy to roll, handle and mechanism work smoothly. .I measured the minimum position over 2 3/4 inches which is a little disappointing. It was almost 3 inches (2 15/16) above the top of the "tongues" on the saddle and was identical to my old jack. . Although the distance between the cleats may be slightly less, this is an unrealistic measurement as the cleats touch the lifting point on the vehicle. Maximum travel was higher than spec at 24 5/8 inches. The low section measured from the center of the saddle was 16 inches. I tested working on a light car (1220 pounds) at my shop and it was less of a hassle. than my old jack. It also ran smoothly, requiring enough beating to get the front wheels off the ground about 8 inches. I left the car like that for about 20 minutes and didn't notice any signs of leakage or loss of altitude. The previous jack literally burned out bits and broke while my son was using it because the c-clips holding it together as well as the grooves they were in were sub-standard (Harbor Freight "Racing" aluminum jacks) . I've looked closely at the same area on the Sunex and it seems quite substantial. Although this jack cost 2 1/2 or more than my old one, it's worth it as far as I can tell for the safety and Ease of Use If there is a change in my perception, I will update this review.
