Super nice little dehydrator. We checked the temperature and it heats well. The shelves looked like they would be easy to clean. I'm a chef, so I know these things. I bought it for my son to prepare deer meat and it is too small for the quantity of the product. Don't get me wrong, yes you can make any beef jerky out of him, but he had LOTS of meat and he cooked beef jerky for a month. He should have specified a larger block with more racks. All in all I would buy it for myself if I ever needed it. It's unlikely to take up more space than a toaster and coffee pot side by side. If I decide to get one, it will be the same.
