They go with almost anything and are comfortable enough to wear all day. The laces are strips of some sort of leather or leather-like material that can be a little fiddly to tie, but I guess some people don't even use laces on these shoes. I keep her tied I've had them for a month or two now and they're holding up great. The last few low tops had me starting to pucker at the top of the foot. My guess is that it was because I put my foot on the railing on the train or something and the stamp in the material has worn off. This shoe shows no signs of wear yet, I'm very happy about that.
