I installed this street light in my solarium and wanted to use a motion light for it. Unlike most, this works on the radar principle. At night, when we walk INSIDE the house or open the inner door next to it, it turns on! Yes, it can literally feel movement through the outside wall (vinyl siding). In our application this is not a big deal, but it can be in some situations. The reason I bought this unit is that the glass in the light doesn't affect its operation, which can happen with more common infrared lamps. It's pretty bright and inexpensive.
