I have just completed the installation and initial testing of this sensor. The fit and finish is top-notch, and installation was easy (aside from the obligatory gymnastics required to work under a car's dash). Gauge face shields are very clear and the choice of colors combined with the standard brightness levels ensure an easy to read image. This meter offers an option to dim the display when the headlights are on, but I don't plan on using that feature as the light level isn't objectionable. This means it may even be too subdued for some users as I always dim the dashboard lights as I find the bright lights on the dashboard annoying. I think the key factor here is that only the necessary information actually lights up, unlike many cars where EVERYTHING lights up and the dashboard becomes a firework display. The instrument is very legible and has a wonderful start-up momentum, which I find again and again. fascinating (don't judge me!). The accuracy seems reasonable, but I don't have the original data, so you have to trust me. But rest assured that taking the temperature with the accuracy required in a car is NOT rocket science and even the Chinese can probably do the job within reasonable tolerances. The variable here is whether the tool will hold. First impression? I really like this product and will be purchasing more parts from Glowshift as my truck project progresses.
