Misleading Compatibility Claims

I studied many alarm clocks before reluctantly settling on this one. The packaging clearly states that this unit is 'Made for' for 13 specific iPod models and four iPhone models. However, NONE of the iPod models listed will work with it unless *you* provide the necessary universal dock adapter. In the box are three adapters for different iPhone models, but not iPod. Ironically, it works (both for loading and playing) with my 6th gen iPod Nano, which isn't listed. The buttons should be fairly easily identifiable by their location and tactile dots on the pair. The "buzzer" alarm clock (which has no volume control) is pretty weak -- not for those who sleep soundly or wear earplugs. If you're using the FM alarm and the alarm goes off, the display will show the station's frequency (which is useless and a bit annoying), but after a few seconds it'll show the time again. The display is sharp and legible, and there's a wide range of brightness options. Sound quality is good for a clock radio, so nothing special. (If you're buying a clock radio to replace your stereo, you're bound to be disappointed — or have surprisingly low expectations for the sound!) Overall, they work as an alarm clock and potentially to charge your iPhone. It's just not very interesting.
