I removed the hub from the original rim and mounted it on a rim that fits the rear rim of my bike. The rim that came with the kit is very narrow, especially compared to the rims on my bike. I ordered new spokes and installed the hub, controller and battery myself. I used a 36V battery. I didn't want the bike to look like an e-bike, so I didn't include everything that goes with it. I only installed a throttle body and LCD screen so there were fewer cables running all over the bike. The engine makes a strange noise when I start but goes away when I start moving. Not sure what the noise is because I just finished and only ridden once. Aside from the sound and making the new wheel with an electric hub, it was pretty easy. I have read some of these comments and I sympathize with the people. Some people find it hard to do anything! If you find it difficult to put a screen protector on your phone, don't expect that you can convert your bike into an e-bike just fine.
