I had this hat and it's the exact same black, it's four years old. I never expected such a cheap hat to last so long. I bought it because I can't wear anything other than a low profile and I knew I wouldn't be afraid to lose such a cheap hat at bay. It's been stained, bloody, dusty, sweat-soaked, rained and washed... and it's still going strong. I can't believe it, honestly. Judging by the color in the photo, I don't even think it's faded that much. Updated August 25, 2017. Aha! Still the same hat. Still wear it every day. Still I recommend. Update: June 16, 2018 Yes! Still the same hat. Still wear it every day. I recommend this anyway, although it now has a small gap where the beak meets the fabric. I'll pay attention to that next time I wash. I can't lose this hat. Now it's a part of me.
