Review on πŸ”Œ DS18 DB1020 Distribution Ground Block - 1 x 0GA Input / 2 x 0GA Output, Nickel Plated Internal Components, Robust Heat Resistant Plastic Casing, Enhanced Screw Connectors (1 to 2 Output) by John Murphy

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Cable tension screws have a beveled end with little jags on the edges, which can be good or bad.

The connectors in this connector block are the right size, which is a relief as they often get lost in translation. The block is actually covered with a clear plastic cover that snaps onto 4 tabs. The tabs are not easy to work with and I actually had to use a thin screwdriver to pry them out, being careful not to break them. The transparent plastic base is screwed to the distribution block and has 4 screw holes. The cable tension screws have a beveled end with little jags on the edges, which can be good or bad. Those barbs will bite into your cable and actually give you a better connection, especially if you have something like a monster 10,000-wire cable. The downside is that after cutting this cable, some strands fall off and you have to cut half an inch off the cable to get 100% of the conductors back. If you're using a 110-wire 2-gauge jumper cord like I am, each strand will be thicker and less likely to break with those barbs. The jumper cable is still acceptable for use in a car audio system because while not as flexible, it is flexible enough to withstand road vibrations when used for short distances. Overall this piece was a good fit, did its job and looked good.

Pros
  • NICKEL-PLATED INTERIOR MATERIALS β€” Eliminates the possibility of corrosion, rust, oxidation, or premature wear at speaker wire connections. Guarantees the expected longevity of your system.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
