Review on Experience Seamless Clarity with BenQ Borderless Brightness GW2480 Monitor - 23.8", 1920X1080P, Blue Light Filter, Built-In Speakers, Flicker-Free, IPS, and More! by Leonard Bryan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

5 stars only because of the value for money. otherwise it would be 4

I was going to give 4 starts but understanding the price made me give 5 just because it's too much for that price. But of course not without problems. At first I literally wanted to throw it in the trash. Already looked at another monitor. Maybe it was just me, but when I plugged it in, the picture quality was terrible. Mouse cursor had a kind of bluish halo effect, refresh rate felt like 10Hz instead of 60-75 (but I tried both 60 and 75 in settings), color wasn't accurate. And I switched to different monitor modes using the buttons on the monitor because those were built-in preset configurations. Enable and disable eye care and all sorts of settings. Nothing helped. I got a headache after 1 hour of use. So eventually I just clicked to reset the monitor to default settings and the problem went away completely. I assume it was some kind of bug and reset seems to have fixed it. Then the colors still weren't that good and after resetting them I changed the Hz from 60 to 75 (don't know why but my computer thought it was 60 after the reset). Again, I don't understand the logic behind this, but color wise, it looks much better at 75Hz. The difference is less in the smoothness than in the colors. Sounds silly, but that's how it is. And finally, you have to set the colors manually on your system. So open the Nvidia Control Panel or whatever you have and adjust the colors to match the Brightness/Contrast/Gamma perfectly. After that it became the perfect monitor. But it doesn't look like a plug and play monitor
