Beautiful, well made doll. On the big side and very realistic. The fur feels very soft, like a real cat. I bought it for my daughter who goes to college. She suffers from anxiety and depression and is considering getting an emotional support animal. I decided to try this first. I filled the hand hole with a microwavable heating pad and placed a cat purr sound effect (found on YouTube on my phone) in the headboard. it is very comforting, calming and stress relieving when she snuggles up with him at night or stays close to her while reading or studying. (I even caught myself petting her and scratching her neck as she sat on my lap.) I think it would be a welcoming place to go back to her dorm room and curl up a kitten on her bed to have. Of course, nothing can replace a living, breathing animal, but this cute cat is a lot easier to care for and doesn't have to run home between classes to feed her! Not sure if it works but she still loves it and worth a try.
