Review on πŸ”Š Immerse in Audio Excellence with Klipsch Surround 3 Speaker Pair, Black - Model:1067530 by Dee Flores

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Adds an extra dimension to your soundbar which can be useful when watching 5.1 content.

I added Surround 3 to Cinema 600 to complete the 5.1 setup. In general, having true unobtrusive surround channels is better than simulating surround for effects, especially in a less than ideal room. Their wireless connectivity is a huge plus for those who can't use cables. As with the subwoofer, pairing was easy. Adjusting each speaker's volume was less than intuitive, but doable, due to its reliance on LED indicators on the front of the soundbar. However, once plugged in, I found the Surround 3 to have good audio quality and underwhelming given the $250 pair price tag. The cinama 600 soundbar delivers a pleasantly rich sound with decent mids and highs. Surround 3 doesn't quite match the sound quality coming from the front soundstage. In terms of sound, they are a bit flat and a bit dull, lacking any depth with mediocre highs and mids without bass. The right surround sound usually matches the timbre of the front speakers. That's not entirely true here, because this is more about music than movies. I understand that money was expended on giving each speaker its own amplifier, but the sound coming out of their single 3" cone is what I would compare to $50 speakers at best. Should You Buy Surround 3? They definitely add an extra dimension compared to the simulated surround effects of the Cinama 600 soundbar. They distract from listening to music in my opinion as musically they just don't play well with a soundbar and shouldn't be used when listening to music.
